Much like the creeping, evergreen perennial, Australian trio Violets have hit the ground to cover and take up space. Although rooted in the traditional canon for flute, viola and harp, Violets seek to present established repertoire in a new light through concert curation that champions cross-genre collaboration, the femme and the new.
Building on the success of Violet’s previous series — Tides (2023) and Undertow (2024) — Vanishing Points (2025) invites audiences on an immersive and meditative musical voyage. Featuring works by Sally Beamish, Sofia Gubaidulina, Björk, Salina Fisher, and more, the program explores sound as a horizon: a place where perception blurs and emotions linger. Like the elusive point where sea meets sky, Vanishing Points invites the listener to hear beyond the surface — to sense the unseen and touch the intangible.
