General Echo w/ Rasta Queen

Monthly reggae disco in North-East London. The night is named after sadly departed MC Earl Anthony Robinson, the voice behind classic deejay tunes such as "Drunken Master".

Very excited to welcome RASTA QUEEN to select for us for the first time this month. A former winner of the Reggae, Revival and Lover’s Rock Cup Clash, Rasta Queen grew up playing records at family gatherings and raving at shubeens, with several family members involved in running sound systems. She has played all over the UK, including nights such as the legendary Thursday sessions at The Flower Of Kent in Lewisham, and the All Nations Bar in Tottenham. Rasta Queen's sets are informed by a lifetime of collecting tunes, and she is a passionate advocate of a encouraging more female DJs to get out and play. Also worth mentioning that she is local, having attended Waltham Forest College, just up the road from the Trades Hall! I'm sure we'll all be giving her an extra warm Walthamstow welcome on the night.

On warm-up duties will be friend of the club Moh Mentum, fresh off his recent appearance on Selectors Showcase.

Come and listen to some of the greatest music ever made in a beautiful old school social club.
