We are thrilled to announce that on the 27th of June, we'll be hosting the showcasing of 'Space to Breathe', a film from and for abolitionists, made possible by activist groups from various cities in the USA.
The entry ticket is donation based. Suggested donation: £8.
Description:
Space to Breathe is an Afrofuturist science fiction hybrid documentary, framed with a future where there are no prisons or police. The year is 2070 and Sojourner is a young genderqueer filmmaker who sets out to understand how abolition came to be, through history's archives on the movements of the early 21st Century.
The film is 20 minutes long which allows for a post-screening Q&A, and discussions.
