If you live in the Dundee or West Bay area, you may have recently received a letter from the West Bay Pastoral Charge about the challenges facing our local churches. Like many communities, theyโre struggling with an aging membership and declining income, which puts their future in question.
Whether youโre spiritually inclined or not, one thing is clear: these churches have been ๐ฉ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ซ๐ฌ of our community for ๐๐๐ง๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฌ. Take the ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ค ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ซ ๐๐ก๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ก, for exampleโit was built in ๐๐๐๐ and has been a gathering place for countless generations. From weddings to memorials and community events, these churches have been part of the fabric of our lives.
Jay and I wanted to help in some wayโand we realized that music is our gift to give. Thatโs why weโve created the ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐ค ๐๐ข๐ฏ๐๐ซ ๐๐จ๐ง๐๐๐ซ๐ญ ๐๐๐ซ๐ข๐๐ฌ, a series of fundraising concerts where 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the West Bay Pastoral Charge to help sustain and maintain these historic places during this critical time.
The first concert was a great success, and we are excited to do it all over again with a different musical line up this time around!
