Everyone recognizes the butterflies, dragonflies, and other winged critters that explore during the day… but what about those wonderful winged wonders that fly about at night?
Don’t miss Moth Night @ TMSC — a unique chance to touch, photograph and learn about moths and other night-time critters!
Join us for a family-friendly event (ages 5+, please) on Friday, July 25, from 8:00-10:00pm, to celebrate National Moth Week with expert entomologists! With special lights to attract moths and other nocturnal insects — experts will guide you through a fascinating, yet often unseen, world on our mountaintop campus. You’ll be able to touch, photograph, and learn about a variety of species.
The evening includes an informational presentation, identification guides to take home, and fascinating stories about these amazing creatures. Participants should bring a headlamp or flashlight, and arrive with bug spray already applied.
