Come join us for a relaxing workshop where we'll learn the art of Sashiko stitching and create beautiful Japanese rice bags together!
Join us for a peaceful and inspiring Slow Stitching Workshop where you’ll learn the beautiful Japanese technique of Sashiko stitching and create your own traditional Komebukuro (rice bag) using repurposed textiles.
 When: Saturday 9th August, 11:00am – 4:00pm
Where: The Creative Studio, 23 Newgate Street, Morpeth, NE61 1AW
Includes: Light refreshments — just bring your lunch and your curiosity!
This workshop is designed to help you switch off and slow down, whether you’re a beginner or already love to sew. We’ll focus on hand-stitching techniques, with a little machine sewing (plenty of guidance available if needed). You’ll leave with a finished rice bag and the skills to continue stitching at home — all while giving old fabrics a new, beautiful purpose.
Spaces are limited – come stitch, relax, and repurpose with us.
