Day 4 of Copenhagen Jazz Festival at Balders Plads ( https://fb.me/e/5y1EjdfZH) is brought to you by Fruittelle.
Anti Édipo is a contemporary groove band based in Copenhagen, led by Brazilian songwriter Arthus Fochi. The group features Tendo Herbst (bass, record producer), Sofia Sá (synths, keys), and Tuva Bergenheim (drums), with Arthus on guitar. All four share vocals and contribute equally to the band’s musical direction. More than a band, Anti Édipo is a collective of artists from different backgrounds shaping a sound together.
Their music draws from Brazilian boogie and samba, Afro-Latin rhythms, 70s and 80s jazz-funk and analog synth textures. Inspired by artists like Marcos Valle, João Donato, Tim Maia, Edu Lobo, as well as Earth, Wind & Fire, Khruangbin, and Hiatus Kaiyote.
The name Anti Édipo refers to the philosophical work by Deleuze and Guattari, pointing to the band’s refusal of fixed forms and traditional hierarchies. It’s dance music with layers, built from shared intuition, improvisation and play.
The group is currently recording their debut album, to be released in 202
Lineup:
Fruittelle Selectors: 3-6pm
Anti Édipo (Live Debut): 6-7pm
Fruittelle Selectors: 7-8pm
