ALTER are very pleased to invite everyone to a pre-event with concerts by Drømmedykker and Hayden Pedigo hosted at our good friends Radar
The event costs 140 DKK but is free with a full festival pass <3
DRØMMEDYKKER:
Drømmedykker is an experimental band formed by four close friends and former classmates from Skovmoseskolen—a special education school for students with various diagnoses, primarily Down syndrome. Over the past few years, the group has gathered regularly to create music and art in a deeply collaborative and intuitive process. Their sound is playful, ambient, and exploratory, rooted in improvisation and a shared joy for sonic experimentation.
Drømmedykker’s instrumentation includes electric guitar (sometimes played with a violin bow), synthesizer, drum machines, flutes, xylophones, harmonicas, and melodicas—woven together in thick layers of reverb and centered around lead vocalist Dennis’ deep, resonant voice. The lyrics are written by the band members themselves, often reflecting their inner worlds and emotional landscapes.
The band caught the attention of CPH:DOX after filmmaker Jonas Bang created a short documentary about them, which was selected for screening at the festival—a proud milestone for the group. Since then, Drømmedykker has continued to evolve their practice, rehearsing at their former school with dreams of releasing a record.
In May, the band played their first full-length concert at Xenon to a sold-out crowd. The performance space was transformed with visual artworks and paintings made by the members themselves, creating an immersive and personal atmosphere. No two Drømmedykker shows are the same—guitar riffs might turn percussive, microphones might be abandoned in favor of dance. Their concerts are driven by mood, presence, and spontaneity. Unpredictability is part of their DNA—and that’s exactly how it should be.
HAYDEN PEDIGO:
Hayden Pedigo is a man of many contradictions: finger-picker, absurdist, perfectionist, Amarillo City Council candidate and the subject of the documentary Kid Candidate. With I’ll Be Waving As You Drive Away, he concludes his so-called Motor Trilogy — an emotionally raw and technically demanding album where the costumes are gone and the artist steps forward unmasked. Blending warped instrumental Americana with psychedelic textures and echoes of John Fahey, King Crimson, Bladee and Chat Pile, this record marks Pedigo’s most sincere and maximalist statement yet — a panoramic exploration of frustration, transformation and release.
