Wilkes' Gob Morris Recruitment Practice #3

Want to meet new people, keep fit and occasionally visit a local pub?
A few hardy folks are planning a Border Morris side.
The focus of Wilkes’ Gob Morris is creating and performing dances inspired by the history of the local area.
Border Morris is an energetic Morris style, danced with sticks. Dancers wear tatter jackets, decorated hats and different colour face paint to disguise themselves.
If you’re over 16, and fancy finding out a bit more, stick on your trainers, and come and ‘have-a-go’ on:
Sunday 20th July 11am – 2pm
TBC, nr. Swadlincote.
No dancing experience is necessary, but it is very helpful to have a relatively good sense of rhythm. If any local musicians are interested in joining the shenanigans, tunes are usually in D/G.
