Free Motion Machine Applique: £65 with Katharine Beadle, formerly of the Quilt Rooms in Beare Green - Tuesday 1st July 10am-2pm
Learn how to use the free motion function of your sewing machine (when you lower your feed dogs) to do raw edge applique. You will create a piece of fabric art using simple templates, scrap fabrics and Bondaweb. Once these are adhered to your background fabric you will then learn how to free motion around these shapes to add an extra design features to your work as well as securing them to your background fabric. Once completed these could be used as a wall hanging, a bag, or you can make more and turn them into a whole quilt.
