Drawing techniques for Beginners

We will spend the first four weeks exploring the skills involved in drawing with graphite and charcoal pencils. The techniques involved and hands on exercises to develop your skills using pencil, blending - shading - hatching etc, tools needed to elevate your sketch, using blending stumps- different types of erasers - the tools you need and how to use them.
Ink pens and how to use them, how to get the right effects using pen - all types of hatching - building depth etc.
Weeks 5 and 6 we will cover composition and perspective. We will also revisit any areas that you need more detailed information on and re visit aspects that you would like to work on in more detail.
This is a friendly and relaxed workshop, where you are encouraged to work at your own pace.
