This month, we are hosting a poetry open mic. Think you’ve got poetry chops? Bring your best poem and sign up. Each poet has four minutes on the mic. Sign ups start at 6 pm. Open mic starts at 6:30 pm sharp.
Open Mic is followed by our featured performers and special guest Gary Every!
Gary Every is the first-ever Poet Laureate of Sedona. Gary has been published over 1300 times and has authored nine books, including “Drunken Astronomers,” “The Saint and the Robot,” and “Battling the Hydra.” He was featured on the poetry and jazz album, “Introducing The Mighty Minstrels.” He has won awards for writing in several different fields, including Best Lifestyle Feature from The Arizona Newspaper Association. He has been nominated for the Rhysling Award for the year’s best science fiction poem four years in a row. His poetry and fiction have received several Pushcart nominations.
