Lakeside Shakespeare returns for their 2025 season! Bring your own lawn chairs, drinks, and picnic, and enjoy an evening of professional Chicago theater in the park! General admission, arrive 30 minutes early to secure your spot and enjoy the pre-show. Sliding scale tickets, suggested $30/person ($10/kids under 18).

Lakeside Shakespeare began in 2003, when Chicagoan (and Benzie summer resident) Elizabeth Laidlaw brought a troupe of actors to Benzie County for a 3 night run of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Twenty two years later, we continue to gather an ensemble of professional Chicago actors every year to share the magic of professional theater in the park with the folks of Northern Michigan.
