The Matawan Borough Recreation Commission is excited to announce the first of our can’t miss Family Movie Events Under the Stars at Terhune Park .

Jaws – Friday, July 18 at 7 PM
Help us celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Jaws! Before the movie begins, the Matawan Historical Society NJ will present a brief introduction about the real-life connection between the film and the infamous 1916 shark attacks in Matawan Creek. It's an event widely believed to have inspired the movie. Swim into summer with this classic thriller that will keep you on the edge of your beach chair!

Moana 2 – Friday, July 25 at 7 PM
Set sail on a brand-new adventure with Moana and Maui in this exciting sequel, perfect for kids and grown-up voyagers alike!
Both movies are free and open to the public! Just bring your beach chairs, blankets, and your whole crew for an unforgettable outdoor movie experience under the stars. Movies start promptly at 7 PM, so arrive early to grab a good spot and enjoy the summer evening vibes.
