On the second Sunday of each month from June through October, the HSRC’s Education Department will host a hands-on children’s craft following the theme of our 2025 exhibition, “Home Grown: A History of Farming in Rockland County.”

This Sunday features a make-your-own chicken or pig from construction paper. We supply the paper and the googly eyes; you bring the artistic talent.

And while you’re here, don’t forget to explore the exhibition and visit the historic Jacob Blauvelt House.

See you at the HSRC on Sunday afternoon!

“Home Grown” runs through October 26, 2025, and is open to the public Wednesdays-Fridays and Sundays from 12 to 4 pm. Admission is $7 per adult; $3 per child ($FREE on Second Sunday Craft Days) and benefits the educational and preservation mission of the Historical Society of Rockland County.
