Join us in restoring the health of the wetlands and forests near Soos Creek.
Year-round projects often include removal of monoculture-forming plant species that can harm plant diversity, spreading woodchip mulch, weeding previously planted sites, and other park improvement projects (e.g., litter removal). Seasonally (October through February), tree and shrub planting may also occur.
Our September project will focus on maintenance of previous plantings. Wear work clothes, and bring work gloves. Be sure to sign up using the link below so that King County staff can anticipate the number of volunteers and notify you if the event is canceled.
Location: Soos Creek Park entrance at 24810 148th Avenue SE in Kent
