SCHEDULE A WORKSHOP with one of our greenhouse pros to make a Kokedama Moss Ball Planter or a Tropical Mount!
Kokedama originates from traditional Japanese garden art and consists of wrapping an ornamental plant's roots with moss, forming a ball.
You will be able to select your own houseplant and we'll have a special kokedama soil mix and sheet moss for you to create your own unique planter. Those wishing to take their kokedama a step further and make a Tropical Mount can do so! You will be taught the methods to mount these dramatic planters onto beautiful cork wood, driftwood or barnboard, to mimic their natural tendancies. You can bring your own mounting piece, if you wish!
You'll love the end result - living art that can stand alone, or be added to your plant gallery! Please let us know when setting up the class time how many in your group will require mounting materials.
Register at https://www.downtoearthgardencenter.com/calendar, or by calling 715-833-1234, ext. 6. Workshops are scheduled at the top of every hour, from 10am-4:00pm.
Class cost: $15 (supplies) + plant cost (varies). Instruction is FREE.
