Learn about the science that happens at the farm!

Farmers, gardeners and community members are invited to tour the UAF experiment fields and farm. This free educational event includes a schedule of talks presented by researchers. Topics covered include:

Cover crop effects on root maggots

Establishing mixed perennial plant communities

Feeding livestock of Alaska

Kelp as fertilizer

Small grain cultivars for Alaska

Soil response to land use changes

Vegetable variety trials

Learn through presentations, tours and discussions.

Come for an hour, or stay for the whole afternoon.

A map and schedule will be provided. Dress for the weather and be prepared to walk up to a mile. All children must be accompanied by an adult. No dogs, please.
