Family Fun Day & Jordy’s ‘Run for Emily’

Jordy is running a MARATHON around The Roos Axle’s Earthmoving Oval. 100 laps to raise funds for the Norton-Knight family to support their daughter Emily who is battling Leukemia. Every dollar donated via Jordy’s ‘Run For Emily’ link will be sent by the club directly to help support the Norton-Knight family.
Emily, the beautiful sister of our U13s Captain Will has recently been diagnosed with Leukemia. Emily is more than just a sister at the club — she’s a vibrant part of our community, always ready with a smile in the canteen, helping out, chatting with families, or playing with the younger kids on the sidelines. Many of you would have been greeted by her cheerful presence and contagious smile on game days or at training. As a community we are hoping to raise funds to support the Norton-Knight family as they face a battle no one wishes to go through.
Although it is the first week of School Holidays, we would love you all to come down and join us and support by donating, joining in for a few laps with Jordy and have a meal with us on a special edition of Members Meals and Member Draw for July.
For a bit of extra fun, Jordy has listed a few challenges you can choose from to take his run all the more interesting.
Lap 10 - $25 for 10 Nerf Bullets which you can fire away at Jordy while he runs
Lap 20 - $10, grab a pool noodle and give Jordy a whack of encouragement
Lap 30 - $25, ice bucket through. Shower a bucket of icy water over Jordy while he runs by.
Lap 50 - $50, be Jordy's personal bar tender and bring him a drink of your choice to consume
Lap 70 - $10 for 10 water bombs, likely now dry from the earlier ice buckets, get your throwing arms ready
Lap 90 - $25, hand Jordy some pickle juice to 'drink' not gargle to help him with avoiding cramps
Lap 99 - Make a personal donation over $150 and chose the outfit Jordy runs the penultimate lap in
