Jasper County Conservation Board will host an Older, Wiser, Livelier Seniors (OWLS) program on Wednesday, July 9 at the Jasper County Armory/Annex Building in Newton. The public is invited to come for 10:00 a.m. coffee and a presentation given by Kate Allen, a member of Goats on the Go. Allen takes her goats to different locations in western Jasper County and eastern Polk County to be used as a method for invasive species removal. Allen will discuss how the program works and show how goats have been key in helping with wildlife management in our area!
The OWLS program is a conservation program that encourages seniors to stay active and learn new things about the natural world.
