Magic Academy: Learn to Play

Come learn how to play Magic: the Gathering! Come in anytime between 12pm-3pm for a guided lesson on how to play this fun card game. This is a 2 part series. However, attendance at one is not required for the other.

3rd Saturday of the Month Part 1 - Learn to Play
New players are taught the foundations to Magic: the Gathering with special decks. Afterwards, your decks are yours to keep!

4th Saturday of the Month Part 2 - Deck Building
We'll guide new players on building 40 card decks. Players will create a deck they can keep from a pool of cards. Afterwards, join other players during an open play session and try out your new deck.
During the lesson we'll teach:
-Which Magic formats use this style of deck
-Sorting cards by color
-Identifying key cards in the pool
-Mana curve planning
-Color combinations
