Make plans to attend our 4-day Summer Sketchfest at Hopkins 91st Raspberry Festival!!!
You won't want to miss it. We've got sketch-outs! We've got demos! We've got sketch-walks. We've got special events! We've even got a public exhibition to showcase your sketches!
Attend any/all of our 3 hosted sketch events --or-- sketch the action at the Hopkins Raspberry Festival on your own from July 16 - July 18. (Get inspired! Sketch all the colorful Raspberry Festival action your heart desires. Here's the event link: www.raspberrycapital.com)
Submit your sketches (be sure to work on loose paper!) to your sketch-out host or deliver them to Hopkins Center for the Arts each day for the public sketch exhibition on Saturday.
Hosted Sketch Events:
Wednesday, July 16 from 9 - 12, Coffee Sketch at the Kid’s Fishing Event at Shady Oak Beach in Minnetonka.
Thursday, July 17 from 6 - 9, Sip & Sketch on historic Mainstreet with a throw down at The Bear Cave in Hopkins.
Friday, July 18 from 6 - 9pm, THE MAIN EVENT features a demo by Kar-Keat Chong at Hopkins' iconic Mainstreet Clock Tower, sketch walks featuring the Raspberry Royal Court at the world’s largest Raspberry and Classic Cars on the Artery, then enjoy a catered throw-down reception at Hopkins Center for the Arts.
Saturday, July 19 from 1-4 pm. Public exhibition of Raspberry Festival Sketches at Hopkins Center for the Arts.
An event notice with complete detail on each of the sponsored sketch-outs and events will be posted separately but please reserve time to take part in this summer sketch event and plan to be part of the exhibition to showcase your beautiful sketches.
*Additional volunteers are needed to co-host sketch events, sketch-walks and help with the reception on Friday and exhibition on Saturday. If you can help, message Tracy McDermott.
