Public Meeting: Mahu Whenua project to preserve public vehicle access over Macetown Rd

The Mahu Whenua Tracks Advisory Group will hold a public meeting to outline a project that will preserve public vehicle access on Macetown Rd as well as to fund ongoing maintenance. You’ll hear about issues, a managed access system with fee-based permits for vehicles, discounted annual passes for local residents and arrangements to continue free access for walkers, cyclists, horse riders and a range of other groups.

The Advisory Group would like acknowledge the generous support for the project from Community Trust South, Central Lakes Trust, New Zealand Four Wheel Drive Association (and affiliated South Island Clubs), ACL Communications Ltd, Scope Surveying Ltd and Queenstown Lions Club.

Mahu Whenua Tracks Advisory Group: QEII National Trust, Soho Property Ltd, Department of Conservation, Queenstown Lakes District Council, Queenstown Trails Trust, Arrowtown Village Association and Herenga ā Nuku Aotearoa, the Outdoor Acccess Commission.

The group is supported by the Shotover 4WD Club, New Zealand 4WD Association and Arrowtown Charitable Trust.
