Puzzled: A Mystery Soup Whodunit

A Murder? In Our Escape Rooms?
Yes, and it’s juicier than a bowl of Mystery Soup!
What started as a lighthearted, slightly passive-aggressive popularity contest among Mystery Soup’s most beloved game characters has taken a dark, dramatic, and surprisingly well-orchestrated turn. Dr. Crowley, the mildly annoying, chronically chatty scientist from Space Pirates, has been found dead. Not “science experiment gone wrong” dead. Not “oops, got launched out of an airlock” dead. Murdered.
The killer covered their tracks behind a fiendish series of puzzles, and now it’s a race against the clock and the other competing teams to uncover the truth.
That's where you come in. Your team has been called in thanks to your reputation as puzzle-solving prodigies.
Your mission: uncover the answers to these three critical questions before your rival sleuths do:
1. In what room did the murder actually happen?
2. What was the weapon?
3. And, whodunnit?
Here’s how the game is played:
1. Teams of 2-3 players will move from room to room, investigating potential Crime Scenes and solving escape room style puzzles to open Evidence Boxes.
2. Similar to the board game Clue, each Evidence Box will reveal a clue that will allow you to eliminate rooms, weapons and suspects from consideration.
3. The first team to submit an Accusation correctly naming the room, murder weapon and the murderer wins a free escape room ticket for each team member (and bragging rights)!
Are you clever enough to crack the case, outsmart the other teams, and solve this delightfully diabolical Mystery Soup murder?
Let the games (and accusations) begin!
About the Event and How to Register:
1. The event will last approximately 3 hours and will involve exploring several different rooms at Mystery Soup, both upstairs and downstairs. During certain parts of the game, all team members must be able to move up and down the stairs together. The puzzles will be of a variety of types and may involve colors, written and audio clues. Most will require keen observation skills. These puzzles were created just for this event and are different from the regular escape room puzzles, so even if you have played all of the games at Mystery Soup, you can participate in this event.
2. The event is limited to a maximum of 16 teams.
3. Each team must have 2 to 3 players. The minimum age to play is 16 years old and any teams with minors must include someone who is 18 or older. All adults are required to sign our regular game waivers and minors must have an adult sign for them.
4. Each team must have a Team Captain who will register the team and who will be emailed the pre-event information to distribute to the rest of the team members. Full game rules, team schedules and event maps will be emailed to the Team Captain prior to the event. We strongly recommend that you share these with your team and that you all familiarize yourself with them.
5. The Team Captain must register the team and pay for the entire team during registration. Due to the extensive planning involved in this event, tickets are non-refundable. If for any reason we have to cancel the event, all tickets will be refunded.
6. The check-in for the event will begin at 6:00 PM and the rules briefing/Q&A will begin promptly at 6:15 PM. At 6:25 PM, all teams will receive their first Detective Briefing and begin their investigations. To ensure that all teams get an equal amount of time to investigate each crime scene, the first part of the game has a rotation schedule and any team arriving after 6:25 PM will lose some of their investigation time.
7. There are a few breaks scheduled throughout the game and snacks and non-alcoholic drinks will be served.
Team Prices:
2 Person Team: $120
3 Person Team: $150
