Justin Frehs is a watercolor artist whose themes exemplify pop culture in it's wildest colors. His style is self-taught and has a recognizable retro swanky vibe. His ability to capture mood and emotion through watercolor is a rare skill, especially with such a vibrant and intense palette. His international reach is impressive, too: From the US to Japan and Australia, his work resonates with a broad range of people through gallery exhibits and private commissions. Teaching both locally and internationally speaks volumes about his commitment to the art community.
Lena Simonian got into midcentury tike after visiting several themed establishments and started to make lighting for her own home bar in 2009. Lena is inspired by classic tiki, midcentury modern shapes and designs with a touch of escapism. After several successful art shows, both local and national, including Modern Primitiva in Columbus, OH and Tiki Oasis national lamp art show in San Diego, CA, her work can be seen in 12 commercial restaurants, amongst them several local places and classic giants like the Mai Kai, and countless private homes nationwide.
