Old friends and musical collaborators, renowned Melbourne-based jazz pianist Steve Sedergreen and NT local vocalist Annie Gastin, team up once again for what will be great show of jazz, blues and soul at the One Mile Brewery in Winnellie.
Steve Sedergreen is one of the country’s most dynamic and in-demand players.
Known for his vibrant and inviting style, his career spans decades, from his outfit Mistaken Identity – which for years was a powerhouse of contemporary jazz playing across the country and earning an APRA nomination, to countless club dates and festivals. Steve also has a formidable reputation as an educator, mentoring many young musicians, most notably some of those who went on to form The Cat Empire.
Annie Gastin is well-known in the Territory, from decades of great shows with acclaimed musicians from all over the country. Her powerful rendition of jazz standards, as well as tunes from rhythm and blues, has earned her a well-deserved reputation amongst musicians and audiences alike, as one of the country’s most versatile vocalists.
With one of the Territory’s most solid and experienced rhythm sections, Dan Davies on bass and Allen Murphy drumming, this is sure to be a sensational night of world-class music.
