The stage is set as the Australia Poetry Slam - Darwin Heat returns this July, supporting the region's raw talent and vibrant stories come to life.
There are two rounds - the first Darwin heat and the second the Top End Final where we'll be joined by the two winners of the Katherine heat.
This exciting event is proudly presented by Red Dirt Poetry as part of the Darwin Fringe Festival.
Will you be the next Top End slam champion?
You've got two minutes to perform your poem, there are two rounds so you will need two original poems. Sign up to enter is at 6pm on the door so make sure you are on time to register.

In the lead-up to the main event Jo Yang and Melanie Mununggurr will be hosting a dynamic slam workshop on Wednesday the 16th July:
All Ages Poetry Workshop: 5pm - 7pm
With their expert guidance, these sessions are a unique opportunity to sharpen your skills, find your voice, and connect with others through the art of spoken word.
This is your chance to perform original work, cheer on your community, and witness spoken word at its most electrifying. The winner will advance to the national final in October at the Sydney Opera House.
Entry: $5 on the door or by donation
