Kasho Chualan is a Kurdish-Canadian pianist, composer, and multidisciplinary artist based in Vienna. Her work explores the emotional and physical textures of sound, often through unconventional approaches to the piano and other instruments. She uses extended techniques, preparations, electronics, tape, toys, and everyday objects to challenge traditional ideas of how instruments should be played or perceived. Blending experimental improvisation, storytelling, and raw tactility, Kasho creates performances that are personal, unpredictable, and boundary-pushing.
