Lori will be teaching us about the native plant, Comfrey; its growing habits, medicinal properties, what parts to be used and best preparations for use as a medicine. Also how to use it as a fertilizer and more!

There will be chairs enough for everyone and we can meet in the shade for the presentation on her beautiful herb farm.
Bonus: Lori will be serving nettle tea and we will get a tour of the farm!

Note1: For those who are a little unsteady - this event is presented at a very short flat walk to the site. Please park along the street unless you require almost no walking distance in which case there will be 2 or 3 parking spaces available in the driveway.

Note 2: We’ll be carpooling to this event, so post on here if you want to drive or ride.

Note 3: There will be road construction during July 22nd so there will be a detour necessary to get here which will take slightly longer (approx. 10 more minutes).

Directions during road construction/detour: South on Iowa. Iowa turns into Highway 59 as you leave town. Take the 1000 Rd exit and turn left off the exit (East). Go to 1450 Rd and turn right (South). Continue approximately 4 miles down 1450 Rd to Wild Ivy Herb Farm which will be on the right. Yellow house with green trim and 2 hoop houses on the property.
