Soap Making

Learn how to make soap from scratch that will turn every bathing experience into a spa experience for your senses. This is a hands-on class where you will be guided by Kathy Howard, a state-certified science teacher through the steps in basic soap making. Kathy will go over soap making recipes so that students can continue making soaps at home! This is a great class to take with a friend, as we will pair up to make a pound of soaps. Depending on soap mold size, each student makes five+ bars of soap.

Please bring a small container (shoebox size) and a bath size towel with you to class and wear LONG tight sleeved shirt. Please note that although you take these soaps home with you and can reuse the molds after a couple of days, the soaps need about six weeks to cure.

This class is appropriate for ages 15+. Class size is limited to 8 Students

We will be hosting an Advanced Soap Making workshop in August! This is a great opportunity to get the PREREQUISITE class under your belt to be able to take your soapmaking to the next level!
