Pilgrimage of Hope

Bishop Gerard designated one church per deanery as a "Pilgrim Site," during this year that Pope Francis declared a Jubilee Year of Hope. Sacred Heart was chosen as the pilgrim site.
Join us for a 2.1 mile Pilgrimage of Hope from St. James the Greater to Sacred Heart Catholic Church. We will have a short prayer service, and then, enjoy some treats on their beautiful rectory lawn in the shadow of the statue of Jesus with arms outstretched over the city.
Let's celebrate by doing what pilgrims do: traveling and praying.
Walk from church, or if you can't walk all the way, walk the last bit as you are able to Sacred Heart and meet together. Or don't walk at all, but find a pilgrim way to get there!
After our pilgrimage, it would be helpful if those that drove would give folks a ride back to St. James.
