Tool Library Workshop w/ Fresh Produce Reecords

It’s no secret that album sales are surging — and have been for years. In 2024, more than 43 million vinyl albums were sold across the United States.

That fact got us thinking: Could we come up with a workshop to tap into this trend?

Well, save the date. At 10:30 a.m. July 19, we’ll be partnering with Fresh Produce Records and Bragg Jam for a music-inspired woodworking project: DIY album crates.

Brady Gonzalez, our project manager, has been leading workshops that empower folks to become comfortable using power tools by making craft projects from reclaimed wood left over from our rehab projects.

We’ll be using tools from our Tool Library ( http://bit.ly/44cXz3i). Historic Macon Foundation members get access to a wide array of tools available for checkout from our shop, located at 909 Second St.

As always, our Tool Library workshops are free for members and $10 for not-yet-members. Current members should email bWVtYmVyc2hpcCB8IGhpc3RvcmljbWFjb24gISBvcmc= to get a coupon code to use at checkout. You can learn more and register here: https://bit.ly/4kT1ZTZ.
