Pinellas Second Chance Academy: Intro to Entrepreneurship Course

This free four-week course is designed to introduce formerly incarcerated individuals to the basics of entrepreneurship. The aim is to provide a foundational understanding of business principles, encourage the development of entrepreneurial skills, and inspire participants to explore self-employment as a viable pathway to reintegration.
Classes will be held at the Pinellas County Urban League.
WEEKLY CURRICULUM BREAKDOWN
Week 1 - June 9th: Entrepreneurial Mindset and Self-Assessment
Week 2 - June 16th: Business Ideas and Market Research
Week 3 - June 23rd: Business Planning and Financial Basics
Week 4 - June 30th: Marketing, Branding, and Legal Foundations Week 5 - July 7th: Pitch Practice and Graduation
Note: Participants must attend in person and can only miss one in person session (via Zoom) to receive the $250 stipend.
