Cedar Rapids Community Transportation Academy

There are still a few spots left in the Transportation Academy. Please Register today - or by noon, Tuesday, May 13 - for the Cedar Rapids Community Transportation Academy - it is a once-per-week course that runs between now and July 8 - and is open to community members. It is free of charge for participants. The Academy aims to help bridge the gap between community advocates and transportation decision makers; and provides community members with skills and knowledge to advocate for safe, accessible transportation networks that work for everyone. The 10-week once per week class is presented by 1000 Friends of Iowa and our co-hosts Linn County Sustainability Office, the City of Cedar Rapids, and AARP Iowa.
