Join the Family Business Alliance on August 7th at the Evansville Country Club from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM for our summer event featuring Anne Smart, advisor with Generation 6, as she presents:
“The Power of Family Business Stories, Beliefs, and Traditions: Paths and Possibilities for Generational Success.”
Anne will guide us through an exploration of how the stories we tell- and retell- within our family businesses carry deep meaning, shaping identity, influencing culture, and guiding decision-making across generations. These stories can sometimes create challenges for successors, but they also hold powerful potential to inspire growth, resilience, and continuity.
By examining the family business through the lens of generational complexity, Anne will show how storytelling can be a tool for cultivating empathy, fostering alignment, and strengthening family unity. She’ll also share practical strategies used by successful family businesses to identify and harness diverse family talents, build engagement, and ensure long-term success rooted in shared values and traditions.
This annual event is held in honor of Kim Howard, who helped found the Family Business Alliance and spent her life championing small business development. Her legacy continues to guide and inspire our work.
