𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁:
Cheryl is an artist/educator living and working on Mount Tamborine. She has always been sensitive to the natural world and is easily distracted by the call of a bird, fur on a leaf or rustling in the bushes.

The texture and form of the mixed media works in this body of work are created to both attract and unsettle. Cheryl’s mum was a cake decorator and she ‘served her apprenticeship’ refining her flower making skills while still in high school. This influence will be obvious when entering the environment where ambiguous lifeforms find their place as decoration or possibly an infestation.
