Come witness one of the most exciting and unique Habitat for Humanity traditions — a house on the move!
After months of construction at Santa Fe College’s Charles R. Perry Construction Institute, the 15th student-built Habitat home is ready to roll to its permanent location in the City of Alachua. The home will be transported in two sections by crane and truck, with final placement on the foundation by early afternoon.
This project was built in partnership with Alachua Habitat for Humanity, Santa Fe College, and BANCF, and proudly sponsored by CPPI, a long-time supporter of building education and community development. Our future homeowner, Shavonne, will soon begin the next phase of construction alongside volunteers — and you’re invited to celebrate this milestone with us.
Come cheer on the crew as the house makes its big journey across Alachua County!
