STEM Saturday: Microfossils

Join us Saturday, July 12 from 10am-2pm for STEM Saturday: Microfossils sponsored by a grant from Halliburton. Discover how microscopic fossils hold the secrets of Earth’s ancient climate! In this hands-on activity, young scientists will examine real and replica microfossils, called foraminifera, and learn how paleontologists use them to uncover what the world was like millions of years ago. Together we will dig deep, think small, and discover Earth’s climate story.
STEM Saturday activities are included with regular museum admission. Activities are open-ended allowing visitors to come and go while touring exhibits and the planetarium. Best for elementary and middle school ages, but older kids and adults can have fun learning something new or helping younger children. #halliburtongiving
