Tenant Education and Art Build

Come envision what liberation looks like with the arts! STUN and empower: abilities are coming together for a session on housing education and creating art for STUN’s Tenant Liberation Art Show held later in July (more details to come). 🎨

Bring your own poster, cardboard, or canvas as well as materials! STUN and 3rd Place will have additional materials to use.

STUN Director of Communications and Media Relations Rex Ybañez will open with a brief intro on STUN, a leader story, and why we are doing this event, followed by an hour of tenant education by Faith Sheridan from empower: abilities. Topics will include:
⚖️ Legal rights and responsibilities of tenants and landlords
🔑Legal protections from discrimination
🗣️How to request accommodations as a renter
📣Final call to action

After that, we will work on art for the art show. Snacks will be provided, and Rex will be available for those who are interested in learning more about plugging into the union or connecting with our Comms Team for opportunities to tell their housing stories.
