🌿 Full Embrace Doula Training: Birth Support Skills Workshop – July 26–27 in Anchorage 🌿
📍 In-person Weekend Workshop
🕙 Saturday & Sunday, 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
📌 Hosted by Due North Support Services LLC, led by Dalecia Young
This no-cost weekend workshop is open to all—whether you’re supporting a loved one or exploring birthwork as a new path. It’s a core part of the Full Embrace Doula Training, which includes a 20-hour virtual course, hands-on learning, and access to our Community-Supported Doula Program—a unique initiative that connects trainees with families seeking community-based care across Alaska.
🌸 What We’ll Cover:
The role of a doula or birth support person
Emotional, physical, and informational support for families
Prenatal advocacy and decision-making support
Trauma-informed care and cultural humility
Hands-on comfort measures and labor positioning
Postpartum care and protecting recovery time
Boundaries, scope, and holding space with care
This workshop is:
✔ Rooted in cultural responsiveness
✔ Designed through an Alaska-specific, trauma-informed lens
✔ A meaningful step toward doula certification
🌻 Meals provided each day | Breastfed infants warmly welcomed
We strive to create a space where caregivers can fully participate.

✨ Priority is given to BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+, and rural applicants—but all are welcome to apply.
