40K Narrative - Nachmund Gauntlet Crusade

Sanctifica Tertius, a lesser-known world in the Nachmund Gauntlet, previously abandoned by the Imperium for its low strategic value, has become a raging warzone. The Forces of Chaos, exploiting the Imperium's distraction, initiated a heretical ritual in the planet's once-holy streets. If successful, this ritual would unleash daemonic forces into the Gauntlet, potentially shifting the tide of the greater conflict.

The Imperium, realizing the threat, launched an offensive to establish a beachhead to halt the ritual. In the initial strike, Imperial and various unaligned forces, driven by their own motives, landed across the planet to advance their goals. The Imperium succeeded, securing a base in the mountains north of the capital city, the suspected site of the profane ritual. Chaos forces, pushed back, retreated to fortifications on the plains between the mountains and the capital, desperate to delay the Imperial assault to complete the ritual.

Unaligned marauder forces failed to establish a firm foothold and must try again to pillage or exploit the planet for their own ends.

All forces on Sanctifica Tertius, regardless of their initial success, recognize that without supplies, they’ll be stranded. Scrambling to secure scattered supply drops across the central plains, these resources will be key to victory.
