Wichita African Union (WAU) is hosting its 12th Annual Cultural Celebration. Tickets are available online on WAU website, www.wichitaafricanunion.org and at a location, Roseline's International, 5025 E. 21st Street N., Wichita, Kansas 67208, where you can pay with cash or check. See the displayed flyer for more ticketing details. We have special tables (sponsor tables) going at $800 for 8. With special table you get recognized as a sponsor during the event and after the event on WAU website. 50% of the cost can be tax deductible. Tax ID 45-4583328.
At this event we usually have lots of happy college and university students, staff and faculty in attendance. Four students receive scholarship awards every year.
We will start with African Safari hour, a form of social hour where guests will tour African Safari Tables around the room, representing the nine countries in our union. On the Safari tables, there will be a display of African artifacts, popular African snacks, mandazi and chapati, and the popular African tea, Kenyan tea. Dinner will include popular mouthwatering African dishes. African DJ will play Afrobeats that will keep you on the dance floor. We will have Fashion Show to showcase African fashion & style.
You will have an opportunity to put a donation in an envelope at the event but you can also make a donation anytime online at www.GiveButter.com/WAU to help us continue promoting educational excellence through mentorship and scholarship awards, and impacting our community and the youth through charitable programs at select schools. No donation is too small. Thank you in advance.
