Join Jason “the Birdnerd” St. Sauver from the National Audubon Society to learn about the amazing adaptations of bird feet!

Using their variety of feet, birds can perch, preen, catch, K*ll, swim, walk, run, and more.

Bird feet have inspired many human inventions from tree stand seats to swim flippers.

Learn what it is like to live with different bird feet and create your own with the Birdnerd as you explore the science of bird feet.

After the Bird Feet Workshop, Jason will join us on the main museum floor for a fun Curiosity Station from 12-1PM, explaining more in depth correlations between birds, biomimicry, and their relationship to our exhibits.
