Speaker Series: Fashion, Film and the Future of Animation, featuring Michael Burton

Join us for a behind-the-scenes look at the art and craft of animation with Michael Burton, a filmmaker and UNL associate professor of art and digital fashion. Drawing from his past work of bringing historical garments to life on the big screen, Burton will explore a range of animation techniques featured in iconic animated films and discuss how studying those methods led to the creation of the distinctive "Animating History" film series. See for yourself the connection between animation and fashion, and what role modern technology (think virtual reality!) is playing in it.
