Special Guest, Maureen Lane, Curator of Museum Collections and Exhibits Manager at the Filson Historical Society will be joining us at Blackacre for an evening to discuss textiles and their connection to the Tylers.
Reflecting the skill and resilience of early pioneer women, she will showcase Elizabeth Tyler Sturgeon’s-niece of Blackacre’s first homestead, Moses Tyler- original woven blanket, considered one of the earliest textiles in the Filson’s collection.
