We're very excited to host our first all ages Remembrance of Lost Species Event at Art Maker's Outpost in Evanston as a fundraiser for their Green Initiative Scholarship.
This year we'll have veteran Lost Species songwriters performing their Lost Species songs from over the years:
Robin Bienemann,
Rebecca Jasso,
Rachel Drew,
Ryan Suzuka,
Ami Saraiya
AND we are putting a call out to ALL YOUNG SONGWRITERS (high scool/grade school age) to write a song about a beloved creature that has been endangered or that is now extinct and perform it at our Event on 8/9! Send us an email at aW5mbyB8IGFtaXNhcmFpeWEgISBjb20= if you know of a child that might be interested!
$10 kiddo tickets, $20 adults.

At AMO, art isn't merely about colors and brushes. We breathe new life into objects often deemed as "junk," or βtrashβ, molding them into narratives and objects of beauty and meaning. In this this engagement of ultimate creativity, we hope to nurture an appreciation for the artful potential of waste, interesting and ordinary items most often discarded, promoting sustainable practices within a rich, collaborative environment where every single human feels they belong and is free and safe to come as they are, and be totally safe to be themselves as they create, imagine and collaborate.
75% or more of the materials we utilize in our classes, camps, and workshops were collected from community members and local businesses, and were otherwise destined for landfills or the ocean.
We are community-centric: at the heart of AMO is a commitment to building community, inclusivity, anti-racism, diversity, a true sense of belonging for all with equity at the forefront of everything we do. Every individual is always welcome to join us in our inclusive space and feel a sense of belonging. We offer no barrier scholarships for all youth programs on a request and you shall receive a basis. We believe art is a necessity for everyone and by providing opportunities for art making in a sustainable way, we can all help to create a healthier planet .
