A public art project for Native visibility - we are still here!
**No artistic experience necessary!**

Triangle Native American Society has partnered with Raleigh Arts for a wheatpasting workshop. Wheatpastings are temporary murals of photos - we will be wheatpasting large-scale Dix Park Powwow photos around public walls in Downtown Raleigh to remind Raleigh that Native people are STILL HERE! as a public visibility art project, and also to promote the Dix powwow coming up October 11. The murals will last for a couple of months before biodegrading naturally over time.

This event will be held Saturday, July 26, 2025 starting at 11AM until 4PM. We will meet at the Junior League Community Center big room where we host our TNAS community meetings - 711 Hillsborough Rd, Raleigh NC 27603. We will learn from Raleigh Arts artists how to wheatpaste, and then walk downtown to paste our giant powwow photos onto public walls (with local business approval, facilitated by Raleigh Arts).

Please wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty and comfortable walking shoes and water bottle for being in the sun as we walk downtown Raleigh. There will be lots of walking involved.

This event is for all ages and open to both TNAS members and friends of TNAS. If there are any additional questions please contact Idalis Dial at aWRhbGlzICEgZGlhbCB8IHRyaWFuZ2xlbmF0aXZlICEgb3Jn or Trey Roberts at dHJleSAhIHJvYmVydHMgfCB0cmlhbmdsZW5hdGl2ZSAhIG9yZw==.
