T'ai Chi is back for its thirteenth year in Palmer Park!
T'ai Chi Ch'uan ("Tai Chi" or taijiquan) is an internal Chinese martial art practiced by millions of people around the world for its physical and mental benefits. Practicing T'ai Chi regularly can improve your flexibility, balance, and circulation as well as help you cultivate a calmer and more present mind.
Peter Guenther will teach the T'ai Chi 24 form every Tuesday evening at 7 pm this summer, starting on 5/20 and running through 9/2.
Everyone is invited and all levels are welcome! This class is free of charge.
Come dressed to move; no mat or special equipment is required.
To get the most out of this practice, try to attend as many classes as you can--make a commitment to improve your body, mind, and spirit this summer!
Class will be held at the northwest corner of Palmer Park at Ponchartrain and 7 Mile, just west of the Police Station.
