Music in the Parks: Beasley's Big Band

Since 1892, Music in the Parks has provided residents and families opportunities to gather and enjoy local music throughout the summer. Since its inception thousands of free concerts have taken place. Concerts are weekly and vary from classic rock, hip hop, international, funk and many more genres of music.
This week at the Lake Harriet Bandshell we are hosting Beasley's Big Band. Founded in 1992 by north Minneapolis native Chuck Beasley, Beasley’s Big Band is an 18 piece big band that plays in the style of Count Basie. Most of the band’s music has been custom arranged by Chuck, who grew up during the big band era. For cancellations due to weather please check our Facebook or Instagram pages for updates.
