Block Party, Power Racing, & 4th of July Cookout

South Side Hackerspace, in collaboration with local makers, community organizations, and creative entrepreneurs, is hosting a maker fair and DIY block party on Friday, July 4, in front of the Chicago Sustainable Manufacturing Center (Bubbly Dynamics). This free event celebrates everything DIY - from art and science to gardening and engineering – and is open to the entire community.

The event will feature the electric thrill of a Power Racing Series competition! Watch as skilled drivers race electric-powered vehicles in an adrenaline-pumping showcase of DIY and experimental engineering.
